Access Control and Electrified Hardware

When a door has to talk to a card reader, a fire alarm, and a building system, Division 8 stops being carpentry. 1NSG Corp coordinates electrified openings across South Florida.

What we coordinate

Electric strikes and electrified locksets, mag locks, card readers and keypads, request to exit devices, door position switches, power transfers and hinges, power supplies, and delayed egress where code allows.

The part that gets missed

An electrified opening needs the hardware, the wiring path, the power supply, and the fire alarm interface to all agree before the frame is set. Retrofitting a power transfer into an installed welded frame is expensive. Coordinating it up front is not.

Life safety comes first

Egress cannot be defeated. Any electrified opening has to release on alarm and on power loss where the code requires it. We build it so it passes inspection the first time.

Talk to us before the frames are ordered and we will coordinate the openings with your low voltage contractor.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should we involve you on an access control project?

Before the frames are ordered. An electrified opening needs the hardware, wiring path, power supply, and fire alarm interface to agree before the frame is set. Retrofitting a power transfer into an installed welded frame is expensive.

Do you install the access control system itself?

We handle the opening, the electrified hardware, and the coordination so the door and frame properly support the system. We work alongside your low voltage or security contractor who handles the system side.

Can a mag lock keep our building secure without failing inspection?

Egress cannot be defeated. Any electrified opening has to release on alarm and on power loss where code requires it. We build it so it passes inspection the first time rather than getting flagged and reworked.
